But what if there was actual truth into this lore? Let’s get to know Richard Keen.
Meet Richard Keen
Gypsy Rose has talked about being involved virtually with men to get attention, prior to murdering her mother, Deedee. Her mother reportedly refused to allow Gypsy to have an older man she had met online come to the house. In the prison e-mails, you can see her claiming Deedee called this man, Richard Keen, threatening him with the police, as Gypsy was allegedly underage, and he never spoke to her again.
After searching for a Richard Keen living in the Springfield, Missouri area around the time of the murder, one man seemed to fit the descriptors Gypsy has given, though slightly younger than she claimed. This man has a criminal record including restraining orders, domestic violence, and a sexual misconduct charge. And it was noted, the lawyer representing Mr. Keen in the sexual misconduct case was Mike Stanfield (screenshots below)
Further searching revealed a Richard Keen on SM also matching the descriptors Gypsy has given. Cross checking friends lists, as more alternate accounts were discovered, it appears these accounts are also linked to Dan Glidewell, and Kim Blanchard. Some of the accounts believed to be Keen stopped posting between 2014-2015.
Is it possible this is the man Deedee threatened to call the police for communicating with her daughter?
While we acknowledge that Mike Stanfield was still a public defender at this time, isn’t it too convenient that he’s defended another shady individual that’s in the orbit of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard?
It makes you think doesn’t it?
Speculations and rumours say that Mike Scamfield was already familiar with Gypsy-Rose through the local BDSM scene or ”littles play”. Even Gypsy says “I’ve known him …a long, long time”, but fails to assert that means since she was arrested for her murder of her mother. We see how her face lights up with joy whenever she talks about Mike Stanfield, you couldn’t get us to be all giddy with our attorneys now unless there’s a big settlement involved.Â
