Statement of Clarification regarding Acquisition of Gypsy Rose Blanchard Prison‑Email File
(Prepared at the request of interested parties – July 2025)

I, Mandy [surname withheld for privacy], confirm that the complete file of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s prison emails (1,090 pages) was obtained entirely through lawful Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures.

Request timeline

• 2 December 2024 – Initial FOIA request submitted to Chillicothe Correctional Center.

• December 2024 – January 2025 – Multiple courteous follow‑up emails sent; no substantive response received.

• 26 February 2025 – Escalation letter sent to the Office of Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey seeking procedural guidance. (The Attorney General, whose office represents Chillicothe, could not intervene but outlined next steps.)

• March 2025 – Consulted Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson for additional advice; his guidance helped refine my follow‑ups.

• 2 May 2025 – 30 June 2025 – Renewed written and email correspondence with the prison, referencing statutory deadlines and the advice received.

• 1 July 2025 – Complete email file released to me by Chillicothe Correctional Center.

Copies of every email, letter, and acknowledgment exchanged during this seven‑month period—including the Attorney General’s reply and Mr Patterson’s email—are on record and have been provided to Amber Deitz for transparency.

On 2 July 2025 I transmitted the full 1,090‑page PDF to Amber (Into the Weeds Podcast). Our joint intent was for Into the Weeds and 1980 Millennial Commentates to host a live presentation summarising key contents before making the materials publicly accessible. Any credit for organising, analysing, and presenting this complex, non‑chronological file belongs to them.

I reside in the United Kingdom and previously maintained an informational website on the case. Owing to the demands of full‑time employment, I had decided—prior to receiving the emails—to discontinue that site; nevertheless, my commitment to factual accuracy and justice for Dee Dee Blanchard and Nicholas Godejohn remains unchanged.

I have never requested or accepted any payment or other benefit for obtaining or distributing these records.

I am currently pursuing the release of the outstanding 2016‑2017 email tranche. Upon receipt, that material will likewise be forwarded directly to Amber for responsible handling and public dissemination.
