Sabastian A- yes, that’s the legal spelling, we checked, was born in the Kansas City area of Missouri on 7 February 1994. His name later popped up in the Wi-Fi router of the infamous pink house during the crime-scene search following the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard, because apparently even the router wanted to be part of the plot twist.
Like Nick Godejohn, Sabastian was one of the men who knew Gypsy-Rose Blanchard before the crime. In the FOIA emails, he’s referred to as Bash/Bashy or, occasionally, Mickey. (For clarity: he is not Mr. Chips and Soda. Let’s not start new conspiracy characters.)
For the record, this is the only Sabastian in Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s orbit, because one uniquely spelled Sabastian is enough for any true-crime timeline.
For this article, we will be referring to Sabastian as Bash to avoid further confusion.
There is only one Sabastian and this is not him (sorry, Becca Scoops). This Sebastian is from Mexico and was most likely a fan of Gypsy’s Anastacia Steele cosplay. Nothing more, nothing less.
Early Life
Sabastian’s Crimes
Below is a list of Sabastian’s crimes:
- 11/26/2012: Jackson County, traffic
- 03/18/2013: Jackson Coutny, possession of drugs, SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence), rehab Heartland Center for Behavioral Change then Northland Dependency Services which was revoked 3 years, DOC 04/01/2016.
- 01/26/2016: Independence, Missouri, traffic
- 02/23/2016: Clay County, traffic infraction
- 4/19/2016: Jackson County, resisting arrest, 3 years DOC released November 2017.
*Sabastian did some time in Fulton around 2019. - 07/13/2020: Platte County, driving without a license.
- 07/23/2020: Jackson County, drug possession and failed to register vehicle.
- 06/24/2025: Clay County, no plates on vehicle.
The Gypsy-Rose Connection
While no one can say for sure how Gypsy and Sabastian first crossed paths, the best guess is the internet—because where else do all chaotic relationships begin? Eventually, they met in person (Oak Park Mall, anyone?).
However, the screenshot on the left shows that Sabastian and Gypsy knew each other back in 2014. Although we aren’t able to find an account that belonged to Gypsy in the screenshot – we think Gypsy was using an alt account that was deleted.
In the FOIA emails of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, we learned that Gypsy and Sabastian had a nickname for each other – Mickey and Minnie (shown below).
In fact, they even wrote to each other when she was imprisoned. In these emails, Gypsy and Sabastian were sentimental towards each other, often reminiscing about their relationship.
We believe that Sabastian and Gypsy knew each other well-enough as they were sentimental with each other in their emails, compared to her long list of other lovers, and Ken gets upset and has expressed jealousy whenever Gypsy brings him up. Gypsy was well aware of Sabastian’s existence in prison that she even asked Kristy to check if he was still in her support group, but Kristy advised her to leave him alone.
This is an artwork of Mickey Mouse from Sabastian’s first Facebook profile, while we can easily dismiss this as a young man’s venture into street art, in true Gypsy-Rose fashion, we know that she does things deliberately and with meaning. The nickname ”Mickey” did not come out of nowhere, sure, we can brush this off by saying that she’s a big Disney fan and has been to Disneyland several times, but if we follow Gypsy’s mindset, she simply doesn’t give someone a nickname unless they mean something to her.
Though we aren’t 100% certain on how their relationship was started or was like, Gypsy shares in her prison emails that she and Bash weren’t always aligned when it came to their relationship, they were often with another person instead of being with each other.
During our research, we found a comment on Hubpages, dated 20 January 2012, where someone professed their love for Sabastian A. While this is an anonymous account, we do believe this is Gypsy.
If we plot out Gypsy’s dating timeline, this places her knowing Dan Glidewell already. This also places us months before Gypsy met Nick Godejohn. This gives her enough time to triangulate men and find the perfect fall-guy for her plans.
So How Did Sabastian’s Name End Up In the WiFi Router?
As we’ve mentioned earlier, Sabastian spent some time being a drifter, going from place to place with the help of friends and doing odd jobs. Many believe that this was Gypsy being quirky but we don’t think that’s what happened here.
We believe he may have spent some time in the Habitat for Humanity house, either doing an odd job or doing things with her under the influence of hard substances.
We later learn that Gypsy learned that Sabastian’s girlfriend back in 2019 committed suicide and Gypsy reached out to him (screenshot below).
While we cannot be sure when they completely stopped communicating, Gypsy and Sabastian’s relationship has caused issues with her other relationships to, especially with Ken and Ryan. In fact, she often used Sabastian’s name as a sort of bargaining chip to make Ken jealous (screenshots below).

The Rachell Garlick Connection
Gypsy has claimed her former best friend, Rachell Garlick, was Sabastian’s ex girlfriend, we found this to be untrue. Even their friendship story was a lie but that’s another story for another day. We have never found any connection that they were in a relationship. We did however see that they were Facebook friends at one time. We believe that Gypsy was using Rachell Garlick as a bridge of communication to talk to Sabastian and this may have spanned over several accounts and years.
So how do we know we have the correct Sabastian?
We went on a deep dive to find the real Sabastian of Gypsy-Rose by scouring public records and social media platforms (arrest.org and Facebook) and accounts. We know this is the correct Sabastian because he was in places Gypsy frequented and a lot of their life events matched.
And history would repeat itself when Sabastian – made his presence known when the Missouri Department of Corrections flagged a sexually explicit letter he sent to Gypsy-Rose back in 2017. This guy just can’t get his unique name out of the spotlights.

Present Day
It looks like Sabastian has managed to get his life around, he is now married and has children of his own, meanwhile Gypsy is still busy writing her fake fairy tale and harassing people online.
